Purchased in 2018, this building has undergone a complete renovation, interior and exterior. With the help of the city of Nevers and the agency ANAH, work began in 2018 for a period of five
years. This building until 2018, was the property of the Diocese of Nevers and housed its administrative services .
The origins of this building probably date back to the 14th century, as evidenced by the cellars of this building (photo attached).
We can also note in the Montagnon suite, the stone wall which is part of the entrance and the third bedroom. This wall was previously the exterior wall of the building. One can still see the window frames of the time. A few stone pillars and the window frame cornerstones engraved with numbers are part of the extension of the building which must have taken place around the 18th or 19th century.
After two years of intense work, this building today shines in the heart of the historic district. Its two magnificent historical apartments will immerse you in the history of the city of Nevers.
